The Suwannee County Health Department offers
Title 10 coverage for vasectomy
services for men who qualify based upon income and family size. Limited
funds are shared with a consortium of health departments of other North
Florida counties that refer patients to Gainesville for certain services.
Drs. Doug Stein and Alex Galante
are the vasectomy services providers for the consortium and perform vasectomies
every 8-10 weeks at
Wisdo Family Medicine in
Ocala.

The Health Department is located north of town. If you are coming from I-10,
go right (west) when you get to Winderweedle Street (as the van is doing
in the photo below) and continue to an intersection of 5 roads. Follow Nobles
Ferry Road northwest and you will see the Health Department on the left
side across a broad field.
If there are no more Title 10 funds for the current fiscal year (July 1
- June 30), or if you do not qualify, you may still have your vasectomy
performed by Dr. Stein or Dr. Galante in
Ocala. The fee is $590. For
