Main Entrance
To find out whether the Health Department presently has funds for their vasectomy program (sometimes funds run out before the end of their July 1 - June 30 fiscal year), please call (352) 334-7900 and ask for a "Triage Appointment" to complete your paperwork so that Title 10 will cover your vasectomy.
(If the staff is not helpful, or if you leave a message and do not receive a return call within 24 hours, please call 813-972-1365 for assistance.)
Drs. Doug Stein and John Curington are vasectomy providers for the Alachua County Health Department, and perform vasectomies on a regular basis at Wisdo Family Medicine in Ocala. The fee is $590 if you do not qualify for Title 10 assistance. If there are no more Title 10 funds for the current fiscal year (July 1 - June 30) in Alachua, you may seek assistance in a nearby county such as Marion.
