Vasectomies $200-$300 off for Men who Help with Physician Education

Having performed over 45,000 vasectomies, Dr. Stein is one of the world's foremost trainers of the art of performing a quick and elegant vasectomy with negligible discomfort. He has trained over 225 clinicians who have come to his Tampa/Lutz office from 5 continents, most from the USA, Canada, and Australia, some from Africa, Europe, and South America.

Because fingertip sensory and motor function is so important, the first steps of vasectomy (accessing the vas) are more like playing a guitar than like other forms of surgery, which are almost all performed under direct vision. But it takes time and practice to "get the feel" for separating the vas from other elements of the spermatic cord.

Trainees pay Dr. Stein on a per-case basis, and some of that payment is transferred to the patient in the form of a reduced fee.  "Education cases" take longer (about 40 minutes vs. 20 minutes), but involve no more discomfort or risk, and Dr. Stein does all he can to still make it a pleasant experience for a great review. So we are looking for men with patience and a desire to save $200-$300 off the usual vasectomy fee. 

On training days, Dr. Stein performs some of the vasectomies himself as "observation cases", for which the discount is not offered. During observation cases, the trainee may be asked to feel the vas tubes before he or she observes while Dr. Stein performs the vasectomy. Note: On Wednesday May 12, Thursday May 13, and Friday May 14, 2027 at his North Tampa / Lutz office, Dr. Stein will host training days for Dr. Theodore Prier, a Family Medicine Specialist serving a large geographic area centered in Bend, Oregon. Because of the reduced rate and the need for men who are not likely to postpone to a later date at the last minute (trainees cannot learn from men who don't show up), we ask for the full (discounted) payment at the time May 12-14 education cases are scheduled, refundable until 14 calendar days prior to the appointment date, non-refundable thereafter. Discount, Deposit, & Refund Policy for Training Cases

The discount is $200 until about 10 days before the training dates. At that time, the discount may be raised to $300, depending on the number of appointments still available. So why not wait to schedule? You may, but if the appointments are filled with the $200 discount, you may not get an appointment or the appointment time that you preferred.

For training cases, we require the full discounted payment at the time of scheduling, refundable until 14 calendar days prior to the appointed vasectomy date, non-refundable thereafter for either cancellation or postponement. . Visiting doctors travel hundreds or thousands of miles for the opportunity to learn under Dr. Stein's close scrutiny, and they cannot learn if training patients cancel on short notice. We have had some patients "walk away" from deposits, but men very rarely cancel or postpone after paying the discounted rate in full.
