Vasectomy through the
Hernando County Health Department

The Florida Department of Health Hernando County offers vasectomy counseling and financial assistance for vasectomy services.

The Vasectomy Program at the Department of Health is offered on a sliding fee scale based on income and family size. An initial “vasectomy counselingand exam appointment is completed at the Department of Health. Approximately 30 days after the exam, the procedure is performed by the VasWeb Doctors at their office in Lutz. For available dates, see their Schedule Page. Men who do not qualify for assistance under Title 10 are also welcome to have a vasectomy through the Health Department for a fee of $450. The only stipulation is that, even for men who pay the full $450 fee, the initial “vasectomy counseling” and exam appointment must be completed at the Department of Health and there must be a 30-day interval between the date on which a consent is signed and the date of the vasectomy.

If there are no more Title 10 funds for the current fiscal year (July 1 - June 30), you may be able to get funding through the Pasco County Health Department, or you may still have your vasectomy performed by the VasWeb Doctors at their office in Lutz or at their location in Ocala, where fee is $690.
